The story of Jose Cuervo Platino is very interesting. The tradition began in 1795 when Don Jose Antonio Cuervo received a land grant from the King of Spain to begin producing tequila and founded what is now the oldest distillery in Latin America: La Rojena, in the town of Tequila, Mexico.

Over the past 200 years, Cuervo tequilas have been prized all over the world for their taste, quality and authenticity, and Done Jose’s descendents still manage the distillery today.
