I am organizing a “Warm 4 the Winter” blanket Drive for the homeless this year, and I’m looking for local businesses in the Atlanta area who would like to partner up with me, and serve as a location for people to Drop off Clean blankets, scarves, hats, and even coats.
I think it will be a great way to bring attention/customers to local businesses, while doing something great for the community 🙂
So far, I’ve locked down two locations, and teamed up with an event promoter, AND I have a 3rd location getting involved beginning this weekend !!
City of Ink and Glambar Salon (located in the Castleberry Hill District) are the Two drop box locations in downtown atlanta.
Beginning next wednesday (nov 17th) there will also be a drop box at Slice from 8pm-2am for EVERY Wednesday until December 15th… Hosted by Honey Hustle Ent. For their weekly event “F.A.M.E Night”.
A boutique in the little 5 points shopping district in East Atlanta called “Vinnies Styles” will begin serving as a drop off location as well.
Before the end of the week I will be recording a PSA with details about the drop off locations, to be used as promo on facebook, twitter, etc.
The donated BLANKETS, hats,scarves,gloves, etc. Will be donated to shelters and hand delivered directly to those living on the streets.
I’ve posted tweets regarding the drive, and the buzz about it is starting to grow, but I want this to get big, so I’m now reaching out to people like you, and other local bloggers, business owners, etc. who have a voice in the city !
