Valentina The Fox, who is she???

Everybody has goals and dreams. But sometimes you don’t know how to get started. You don’t know what to do. You’re apprehensive. Eventually, you have to just step out on the ledge and jump!!! That is what Valentina decided to do in order to launch her modeling and acting career. Would you like to know more about her? Keep reading.

And the sun shines on the bay”

Many will recognize the lyrics to the song “Lights” by the band Journey. Yes, Valentina was born in the beautiful city of San Francisco, California. Her mother worked very hard to provide what was needed on a daily basis. At the age of 9, she moved to Masaya, Nicaragua. Here, her grandmother began taking care of her. Of course, there were going to be a few changes. Things you take for granted living in the states were not present for Valentina as a young girl. She had to learn how to wash clothes by hand, how to chop wood and build a fire to cook food. Valentina was taught how to iron clothes, cook and clean, and other things that would help a woman be independent. Also, Valentina was taught how to speak, read and write Spanish.

During this time of her life, you could say the word “sheltered” would apply. This is because her grandmother was very religious. They went to church every Sunday, she wasn’t allowed to be around many people, everything was about how to speak, sit and walk like a lady. But even though she was able to make many friends, she had a large family in Nicaragua, uncles, aunts and cousins from all over.

When she turned 15, she moved back to the United States. She finished high school, then moved to Fort Myers, Fl. Valentina says her upbringing made her very shy, until the age of 20, where she began to find herself a bit and break out of her shell. Around this same time she began getting approached by local artists about appearing in music videos, photoshoots, CD covers, etc. Valentina had grown into a very beautiful young woman, but she was still surprised on this interest. At first, she agreed to work on a few projects, but not many. One day, she was asked to audition for a novella that was to air on one of the large Hispanic networks out of Miami. But because she was still very new to the industry, she ended up turning it down. For awhile, she stopped doing any modeling, didn’t try for any auditions, discouragement crept in. After taking some time to consider if she was going to try again and learning it would be better that she had representation, Valentina decided to give it another try!

What is it about modeling that Valentina appreciates? She views it as an art. Makeup, hair, eyes, the poses, all are important for a finished product. One of her goals to be the main model for a huge cosmetics company. Valentina also has aspirations of creating her own eye shadow and a swimsuit line.

To date, one of the biggest accomplishments is being able to provide for her mother. She sacrificed so much when she was young, being able to make sure her mother has everything she needs and wants is most important to her. It’s the reason she works so hard.

How does Valentina unwind? She is very intelligent, loves to read. As mentioned before, art is an interest, she sketches. But in the end couch, snacks and Netflix suits her just fine. Remember she also knows how to cook, so she enjoys cooking or baking things she has never made before.  Her favorite foods are sushi, marinated steak with pico de gallo, rice and beans, pretty much everything! And before you ask how does she stay in shape with all this talk about food, she LOVES going to the gym. An animal lover, Valentina also visits zoo’s or aquariums when she has time.

What makes Valentina special? Confidence. Character. And, her will to accomplish her goals as a talent in the industry. Recently Valentina became a published model for the first time in Latino Bikini Life Magazine (shout out to photographer Enrique Romero). Also she was featured in the music video “Hands”.
